Do you want to contribute to safe and high quality raw materials at McDonald's in the Nordics and especially Norway? Then we have the job for you!

We are looking for a new colleague with knowledge and previous experience in working with food safety, quality and preferably in a restaurant.

Your role as Across the Counter Quality (ATCQ) & Quality Consultant

As ATCQ & Quality consultant, you are part of our Nordic Supply Chain organization where you participate in developing and improving the quality of the food at McDonald's in the Nordics with special focus on Norway. In this role, you have close contact with suppliers, all McDonald's restaurants in Norway and the McDonald's organization.

The position is a permanent position. You are located at our office in Oslo.

Some of your responsibilities are:

  • Visit all McDonald's restaurants in Norway yearly to follow up on raw material quality, food safety and operational procedures
  • You will evaluate that the raw materials supplied are within the set standards and requirements
  • Enlighten employees at the suppliers in the McDonald's procedures
  • Follow up on critical restaurant claims on the raw materials and products sold
  • Work closely with your 4 Nordic ATCQ colleges and especially the McDonald'squality team at the support offices
  • You will be part of a large network of international McDonald's experts in food safety and quality, quality managers at suppliers, as well as with our own operations and marketing department.
  • The work involves travel within Norway, Nordic countries and Europe (approximately 100 days/year with approximately 50 hotel nights).

To succeed in this role, you are passionate about food and enjoy working in close cooperation with restaurant crew, suppliers and colleagues to achieve our common goals

Qualifications

  • Technical background in food sciences and/or restaurant operations
  • Preferable experience in quality control and/or auditing
  • Knowledge of McDonald's restaurant operations – at least 4 months
  • As the tasks are conducted in close collaboration with other functions, both internal and external, it requires that you be responsive, have good communication skills and enjoy working in close collaboration with others.
  • As English is our business language, we require that you speak and write English fluently, besides Norwegian
  • Independent and objective approach are also important skills together with the ability to share knowledge that is understood by the organization
