Job summary

Squarehead Technology is searching for a developer to advance acoustic sensor technology. You will work on an array of 100+ microphones, running DSP/ML algorithms in modern C++, and delivering results via network APIs to frontend apps.

The team focuses on industrial products in maritime sectors, with opportunities to attend conferences and collaborate across disciplines. The role is based in Oslo (Nydalen) with occasional remote work and strong English communication required.

Qualifications

• Good written and oral communication skills in English.
• Ability to obtain security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is an advantage.
• Knowledge of C++, Rust, TypeScript, gRPC, or realtime systems is a bonus.
• Flexible workday and option to work from home.

Responsibilities

• Develop the embedded software for the microphone array using C++ to run DSP and ML algorithms.
• Provide network APIs to frontend apps and audio/video streams.
• Work with C++23, Rust, TypeScript, Tauri, React JS and related tooling.
• Collaborate in a small software team based in Oslo, supporting industrial products.
• Ensure security clearance readiness and conform to confidentiality requirements.
