We are strengthening our Account Team and are looking for an Account Manager to support one of our most important strategic customers in the Norwegian energy sector.

In this role, you will foster strong, long-term partnerships that drive mutual growth and success, while ensuring close follow-up of activities across key assets in the Norwegian energy industry. You will be part of a dedicated Account Team consisting of three Account Managers, each responsible for managing ABB’s engagement with the customer’s operated assets in Norway.

To succeed in this role, you need a deep understanding of ABB’s portfolio, the customers’ business, and the value ABB brings. This is a customer-centric role, ideal for someone who enjoys building and maintaining strong relationships both externally and internally.

This position reports to the Head of Account Management within the Service Sales organization and collaborates closely with the Global Account Team led by the Global Account Manager.

Your responsibilities
  • Develop trust-based, long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the customer organization.
  • Gain deep insight into the customer’s business goals to ensure ABB delivers the right solutions.
  • Develop and implement account plans aligned with both ABB’s and the customers’ objectives.
  • Address and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Identify new business opportunities within the customer’s asset portfolio and drive revenue growth.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Monitor and report on performance to ensure targets are met and strategies remain effective.

Some travel is expected in this role.

Your qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in technology and commercial roles (e.g., project management, engineering, sales, or industry-related roles).
  • Proven track record of delivering results.
  • BSc/MSc in a relevant field (technical, business, or management). Relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education.
  • Fluent in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
  • Strong technical understanding combined with a commercial mindset.
  • Experience in sales, finance, or customer management is an advantage but not a requirement.
