Job summary

OSM Thome Limited is seeking a 3rd Officer to join its LPG/Ethylene tanker fleet, sailing worldwide from Bergen-based operations.

You will work closely with senior officers to ensure safe navigation, cargo operations, and compliance aboard modern gas carriers, with a strong emphasis on safety and professional development.

Qualifications

• Valid 3rd Officer license (STCW II/1) with tanker/Gas endorsements.
• Experience on LPG and/or Ethylene carriers preferred.
• All required STCW certificates and valid medical fitness.
• Strong safety mindset and willingness to learn from senior officers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with navigation, watchkeeping and voyage planning
• Support cargo operations, including loading, discharging and tank preparation
• Carry out safety rounds, checks and maintenance of life-saving and fire-fighting equipment
• Prepare and update logs, checklists and other shipboard documentation
• Follow company and industry safety procedures at all times
