Job summary

People is recruiting three Industrial Maintenance Mechanics on behalf of a well-established industrial group located near Mongstad, Norway. The role is based at a quarry where aggregates are extracted and processed before being loaded onto vessels.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on crushers, screens, conveyors, and other fixed equipment, with opportunities to weld, adjust, and install new production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders and other fixed equipment in quarrying and aggregate processing.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical faults.
• Inspect, service and replace bearings, belts, chains, gears, rollers, shafts and hydraulic components.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new or modified production equipment.
• Experience from working in a quarry is an advantage, but not required.

The role is based at a quarry where aggregates are extracted from the rock and processed before being loaded onto vessels and later used as rock protection to stabilize and secure subsea cables and pipelines on the seabed.

Key Responsibilities

As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders and other fixed equipment used in quarrying and aggregate processing.

You will carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical faults and help ensure reliable and efficient production.

The role includes inspection, servicing and replacement of mechanical components such as bearings, belts, chains, gears, rollers, shafts and hydraulic components. You may also carry out welding, adjustments, alignment and modifications to mechanical equipment, as well as assist with installation and commissioning of new or modified production equipment.

Experience from working in a quarry is an advantage, but not a requirement.
