Job summary

Scania Venlo is seeking an experienced team leader for its Venlo workshop to combine hands-on truck technology with leadership to improve processes and guide a team on the shop floor.

You’ll be the first point of contact for technicians, ensuring maintenance and repair work is carried out safely and to high standards, while coaching them and supporting complex diagnostics.

Qualifications

• Requires MBO level or equivalent in a related field.
• Experience in commercial vehicle technology or workshop environments.
• Strong communication skills and proactive coaching abilities.
• Experience with automated systems and administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of mechanics on the shop floor and manage scheduling.
• Support technicians with technical questions and coaching.
• Ensure maintenance and repairs are carried out safely and to high standards.
• Identify improvements, monitor quality, safety and efficiency.
• Assist in quotes for additional work and participate in meetings.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations including electrical vehicles.
• Collaborate with workshop and reception for smooth operations.

Job description

Team Leader Workshop Venlo at Scania Venlo is looking for an experienced truck technician ready to take the next step.

You will combine technical knowledge with leadership to improve processes and guide a team on the shop floor.

You’ll be the first point of contact for technicians, ensuring maintenance and repair work is carried out safely and to high standards.

You’ll be visible on the shop floor, support technicians with technical questions, and help them develop.

You’ll lead a team of mechanics, manage scheduling, and ensure smooth collaboration between workshop and reception.

You’ll coach technicians, assist in complex diagnostics and repairs, monitor quality, safety and efficiency, identify improvement points, and ensure safety regulations (including electrical vehicles) are followed.

You’ll participate in work meetings and assist with quotes for additional work.

Leadership experience is a plus but not required.
