Job summary

TWD in Rotterdam is seeking a hands-on engineer to join the Lab team, where we test friction, coating damage and other material properties, feeding direct input into our designs.

You will execute tests, prepare setups and set up test reports, with opportunities to liaise with clients as you grow in the role.

Ideal candidates are nearing the end of a bachelor’s degree (or early in a master’s) in civil, mechanical, offshore or marine engineering and have basic Excel skills.

As part of the Lab team, we work on the practical side of the designs we develop. We are testing friction, coating damage and other material properties, giving direct input into our designs and proposing design optimizations. This is where engineering theory meets hands-on practice.

You will work across a wide variety of designs building your skills quickly, and as you grow into the role you may also get the chance to liaise directly with clients.
