Job summary

TNO Defence, Safety & Security in The Hague is seeking a Wireless Communications Expert to contribute to CEMA projects for defence and security. You will apply research to understand electromagnetic spectrum challenges and translate findings into prototypes with a multidisciplinary team.

You will collaborate across groups, enjoy freedom to innovate, and have opportunities to grow while working with national and international partners.

Qualifications

• MSc in Electrical Engineering or ICT is required.
• Solid knowledge of wireless systems and DSP techniques.
• Experience with SDR and related tooling is essential.
• Proficiency in Python, C/C++, and MATLAB is desirable.
• Excellent command of Dutch and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Apply research to address wireless communication challenges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop prototypes.
• Map and analyze electromagnetic spectrum usage for defence scenarios.
• Develop and test CEMA techniques to counter or exploit EM signals.
• Contribute to knowledge sharing across international partners.
