Job summary

TNO Defence, Safety & Security’s EMO division seeks a Project Manager to drive research and innovation projects, coordinating researchers, engineers and clients to deliver structured, goal‑oriented outcomes for defence technologies.

You will initiate, plan and monitor projects, align objectives across stakeholders, manage budgets and risks, and contribute to professionalizing project management practices within EMO, with opportunities to work from home part-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a technical field.
• Experience in project management within a technical or research environment.
• Ability to coordinate complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong communication across disciplines and levels.

Responsibilities

• Initiating, planning, and coordinating research and innovation projects.
• Aligning objectives, timelines, and scope with clients and project teams.
• Monitoring progress, budgets, risks and quality.
• Connecting multidisciplinary teams and areas of expertise.
• Reporting progress and results to stakeholders.
