Job summary

Paans Van Oord is seeking a Project Engineer to drive dredging and bank protection projects across the Netherlands, from tender phase to execution. You will translate complex requirements into actionable plans that keep sites safe, efficient, and on schedule.

You will collaborate with project managers, site supervisors and specialists to maintain progress, manage risks, and ensure high-quality results. The role offers development opportunities, strong teamwork, and exposure to diverse projects

Qualifications

• Completion of vocational or higher professional education in Civil Engineering.
• Experience as a work planner, preferably in water construction.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Strong Dutch language skills.

Job description

As a Project Engineer at Paans Van Oord you play a key role in preparing dredging and bank protection projects across the Netherlands. You get involved from the tender phase through to execution. You turn ideas and project requirements into clear plans that help colleagues work safely and efficiently. You work closely with project managers, site supervisors and other specialists to keep each project on track. Your work combines careful planning with a practical understanding of what happens on site. This gives you a direct role in delivering successful projects that improve and maintain our waterways.

You are organized and practical. You take responsibility for your work and enjoy bringing structure to complex tasks. You work well with different colleagues and can keep an overview when several projects need your attention. You communicate clearly and look for solutions when plans need to change. You also bring the following:

• A completed vocational or higher professional education in Civil Engineering.
• Experience as a work planner preferably in water construction.
• Good knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD.
• Strong Dutch language skills.
