Job summary

Jos Milo is seeking a capable Web Application Developer to join their IT team in Rotterdam. You will translate business needs into robust web solutions, prioritize work, and collaborate with delivery teams to build and maintain websites and applications.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's in CS, 4+ years in web development, strong knowledge of VB.NET, ASP.NET, web services, SSRS/SSIS, and relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server. Unix scripting and C# are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Excellent customer focus, communication skills, and results orientation.
• >4 years of experience as a web application developer in IT.
• Strong knowledge of VB.NET, ASP.NET, web services, SSRS and SSIS.
• Good understanding of Oracle and SQL Server databases.
• Technical skills in web development, HTML, JavaScript with some business analysis / PM skills.
• Preferred: Unix scripting and C#.

Job description

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

• Participates as key contributor to Web application support including setting priorities for the Web project & activity queue. Liaisons and identifies opportunities for local customers; translates business needs into specifications for development; works with the delivery team to develop new websites and web applications.
• Provides general web support and enhancements to Web applications. Manages publication, development and maintenance processes for applications
• Manage Information Asset reviews to ensure that all relevant policies, standards and guidelines are met and documented appropriately; this includes Information Protection, Records Retention, Copyright permissions and other audit documentation as needed. Collaborate with others in the team related to Web Policies.
• Coordinates the development and support of web applications and interfaces. Contributes creative ideas and participates in discussions to identify web & application opportunities for standardization and consolidation.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other relevant fields
