Job summary

Quooker is seeking a Water Quality Specialist to join the Expertise Team within R&D. You will ensure our products meet water quality standards across international markets and translate complex water science into actionable guidance for product development.

In this hybrid role (Ridderkerk office four days, one day from home), you will lead research initiatives, collaborate with institutes, and shape the future of water quality expertise at Quooker.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Water Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology or related field.
• Proven knowledge and hands‑on experience in drinking water and water quality.
• Good command of Dutch and English.
• Curious, analytical and able to turn expertise into practical advice.

Responsibilities

• Support product development teams with water quality expertise.
• Investigate topics such as drinking water quality, microbiology, filtration, water monitoring and sensor technology, and interactions with materials.
• Advise on international drinking water standards and certification requirements.
• Spot opportunities and risks, and initiate/lead research projects.
• Collaborate with external research institutes and build a network of specialists.

As Quooker’s Water Quality Specialist, you are the go-to expert on water quality. You’ll work within the Expertise Team in Research & Development (R&D), where colleagues rely on your expertise from product development to tackling water quality challenges in international markets. Your expertise helps Quooker expand into new markets and develop innovative products that meet local water quality standards and regulations, with the freedom to shape your field of expertise.

As our Water Quality Specialist, you are the expert on all things related to water quality. You make sure we have the right knowledge and put it to good use when developing our products. It’s an opportunity to deepen your expertise while making a real difference.

You support our product development teams, helping them make well-informed decisions. You’ll investigate topics such as drinking water quality, microbiology, filtration, water monitoring and sensoring, and how different materials interact with water. You’ll also explore how water quality and conditions vary around the world, advising on relevant drinking water standards and certification requirements.

You look beyond today’s questions. Rather than waiting for someone to ask for your input, you spot opportunities and potential risks and bring them to the table. You’ll have the freedom to initiate and lead research projects, collaborate with external research institutes and build a network of specialists. Along the way, you’ll help shape the future of water quality expertise at Quooker.
