Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel in Tiel zoekt een Warehouse Team Leader die op de vloer aanwezig is en zorgt voor efficiënte, veilige en planning-conforme dagelijkse operaties. Je houdt overzicht, signaleert problemen vroegtijdig en neemt actie.

Voor circa 80% van je tijd leid en coach je het team, optimaliseer je processen en realiseer je operationele KPI's. Daarnaast draag je bij aan praktische ondersteuning en continue verbetering van de werkzaamheden.

Qualifications

• Leidinggevende ervaring in logistiek of productie (min. 1 jaar).
• Goede beheersing Nederlands en Engels.
• Bereid tot werk in twee-ploegendienst (mogelijk naar drieploeg).
• MBO-niveau of gelijkwaardig.

Responsibilities

• Indelen van de ploeg en dagelijkse werkzaamheden toewijzen.
• Coachen, begeleiden en motiveren van magazijnmedewerkers.
• Toezien op voortgang en KPI-doelstellingen realiseren.
• Knelpunten identificeren en oplossingen voorstellen.
• Ondersteunen van de supervisor en vervanging bij afwezigheid.
• Zorg dragen voor correcte registratie en administratie.
• Toezicht op veiligheid en bedrijfsregels.
• Zorgen voor efficiënte ontvangst, opslag en verzending.
• Actief bijdragen aan procesverbeteringen en prestaties van het magazijn.

Beschrijving

Within our FMCG Contract Logistics department in Tiel, you will work in a dynamic warehouse environment where e-commerce and logistics processes come together.

As a Warehouse Team Leader, you are present on the work floor and ensure that daily operations run efficiently, safely, and according to planning. You keep an overview, identify potential issues, and take action before problems occur.

Approximately 80% of your time will be focused on leading, coaching, and supporting employees, optimizing processes, and ensuring operational targets are achieved. When needed, you are also willing to support the team operationally.

Your responsibilities include:

• Independently managing a shift and distributing daily work assignments;
• Coaching, guiding, and motivating warehouse employees;
• Monitoring operational progress and achieving agreed KPI targets;
• Identifying bottlenecks and proactively implementing solutions;
• Supporting the Supervisor and replacing them during absence;
• Ensuring accurate activity registration and administration;
• Monitoring compliance with safety procedures and company guidelines;
• Ensuring efficient receiving, storage, and shipping of goods;
• Actively contributing ideas to improve processes and warehouse performance.

In addition, you have:

• MBO work and thinking level (or equivalent);
• At least 1 year of leadership experience within logistics or a production environment;
• Good command of the Dutch language;
• Good command of the English language;
• Availability to work in a two-shift schedule, with the possibility of moving towards a three-shift schedule;
• A proactive, solution-oriented, and positive attitude.
