Job summary

Kuehne+Nagel International AG zoekt een hands-on Distribution Team Leader in Tilburg. U leidt dagelijks 400–600 inbound retourwagens, bewaakt planning, performance en kwaliteitsnormen en bent zichtbaar op de vloer.

U stuurt een team aan, motiveert en adviseert, en onderhoudt een veilige, efficiënte en verantwoorde operationele cultuur. Vereist zijn MBO-niveau management en minstens één jaar leiderschap in logistiek.

Qualifications

• U bent een hands-on leider die verantwoordelijkheid neemt en uw team naar topprestaties brengt.
• Minimaal één jaar leiderschapservaring in logistiek, distributie of productie.
• Goede beheersing van de Engelse taal.
• Beschikbaarheid voor drieploegendienst.

Responsibilities

• Leiden van uw team: dagelijkse taken organiseren en werk voorspelbaar plannen.
• Coachen en motiveren van teamleden en zorgen voor een positieve werksfeer.
• Coördineren van distributieprocessen en continu verbeteren van de uitvoering.
• Functie vervullen als eerste aanspreekpunt op de vloer en operationele taken overnemen.
• Toezicht houden op flow en kwaliteit van het product vanaf ontvangst tot verzending.

Beschrijving

Every day, we process between 400 and 600 inbound return trucks. This requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and someone who can keep calm under pressure.

As a Distribution Team Leader, you are responsible for managing the daily operation. You ensure your team knows exactly what is expected, monitor performance, and make sure operational targets are achieved. You are highly visible on the work floor, think ahead, and continuously focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.

Your responsibilities:

Leading your team

• Organize and distribute daily tasks while ensuring efficient workforce planning.
• Motivate, coach, and support team members in their daily activities.
• Foster a positive working environment where teamwork and personal development are encouraged.

Coordinating distribution processes

• Monitor operational progress and make adjustments when necessary.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement practical improvements.
• Ensure operations continue to run smoothly, even during peak periods.

Supporting the Supervisor

• Act as the first point of contact on the warehouse floor.
• Take over the Supervisor's operational responsibilities when required.
• Make confident decisions while maintaining a clear overview of the operation.

Managing product flow and quality

• Oversee the complete distribution process, from receiving and sorting to storage, processing, and dispatch.
• Monitor quality standards and take immediate action whenever deviations occur.

Safety and continuous improvement

• Promote a safe working environment and ensure procedures are followed.
• Actively contribute ideas to improve processes and increase operational efficiency.

In addition, you have:

• MBO working and thinking level (or equivalent);
• At least one year of leadership experience in a logistics, distribution, or production environment;
• Good command of the English language;
• Availability to work in a three-shift operation;
• Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and natural leadership abilities.
