Job summary

DHL Express in Den Hoorn zoekt een Warehouse Operator voor flexibele werktijden. Je voert taken uit zoals laden/lossen, containerbouw, sorteren van pakketten en naleving van veiligheidsinstructies. Je werkt in een dynamische omgeving met een focus op samenwerking en efficiëntie, vooral tijdens de avondploeg.

De positie vereist fysieke inzet, Dutch of English taalbeheersing en verantwoordelijkheid; startloon is marktconform en er zijn mogelijkheden tot doorgroeien binnen DHL Express.

Qualifications

• Teamwork en samenwerking tonen in een logistieke omgeving.
• Naleven van veiligheidsprocedures en werkinstructies.
• In staat onder druk te werken en deadlines te halen.
• Goede beheersing van Nederlands of Engels.

Responsibilities

• Laden en lossen van pakketten; zorgen voor juiste conveyor of container zodat de stroom goederen niet stilstaat.
• Opbouwen en uitpakken van containers volgens richtlijnen en gereedmaken voor verzending.
• Sorteren van pakketten op postcode en bestemming en controleren van verzendlabels.
• Veiligheidsvoorschriften volgen, hulpmiddelen correct gebruiken en een schone, georganiseerde werkplek handhaven.
• Samenwerken met collega's en zorgen voor een vlotte werksnelheid tijdens de avondploeg.

Your responsibilities as a Warehouse Operator

• Loading and unloading
  You unload parcels from vans and trucks and place them on the correct conveyor belt or roll container, ensuring the flow of goods continues without delays.
• Building and unloading containers
  You load containers according to established guidelines and prepare them for shipment, or unload them upon arrival, ensuring all goods are transported safely and without damage.
• Sorting parcels
  You sort parcels by postcode and destination, check shipping labels, and ensure every shipment is routed correctly.
• Following safety procedures
  You work according to clear safety instructions, use equipment correctly, and help maintain a clean and organized workplace to prevent accidents.
• Teamwork
  You coordinate your work with your colleagues, assist where needed, and work together to maintain an efficient and enjoyable pace during the evening shift.

• Hourly wage starting at €15.30, depending on experience.
• Weekly salary payments through the employment agency.
• Flexible working hours: 7 to 10 hours per week.
• 8% holiday allowance plus 10% paid vacation hours accrual.
• Travel allowance of €0.23 per kilometre.
• 6.24% flexible budget on top of your worked hours.

Wat we van je vragen

• You are available to work at least three mornings per week, including Monday and Friday.
• You are available throughout the entire summer holiday period with no planned vacations.
• You are physically fit and able to lift parcels weighing up to 20 kg.
• You have a strong awareness of workplace safety and carefully follow work instructions.
• You have a good command of Dutch or English.
