Job summary

Bleckmann in the Netherlands is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead the logistics operations at a large-scale distribution center. You’ll oversee daily production, ensure efficiency, meet budgeted guidelines, and coordinate across shifts and departments.

With 5+ years of leadership in fashion, lifestyle or e‑commerce logistics, you’ll manage peak periods, drive improvements, and implement HR and QEHS policies under the Site Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or HBO-equivalent education (HBO level).
• At least 5 years of leadership experience in fashion, lifestyle or e-commerce logistics.
• Proven track record handling high-volume operations during peak periods (Black Friday/Cyber Monday/holidays).
• Excellent Dutch and English, spoken and written.
• Strong knowledge of WMS (PKMS preferred) and MS Office.
• Independent, proactive, and able to drive improvements across teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient operations across the entire physical warehouse operation within budget guidelines.
• Lead and manage supervisors, and coordinate activities within the department.
• Drive staffing, capacity and performance during peak trading periods to meet customer expectations.
• Coach teams and promote collaboration to achieve site goals and continuous improvement.

Tasks and responsibilities:

As a Warehouse Manager, you are responsible for the correct and efficient operation of the logistics processes, daily production, and all activities related to the physical flow of goods within the warehouse.

You take into account budgeted guidelines, productivity targets, and established SLAs. You continuously work on optimizing the translation of customer needs into the logistics operation. To achieve this, proper alignment and communication within different layers of the organization play a crucial role.

You provide daily operational leadership to the team of Supervisors and motivate them to work together towards the best result every day. You are strongly involved in achieving the Site and department goals and also make an important contribution to the implementation of HR and QEHS policies. In this role, you report to the Site Manager.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure efficient and smooth operations within the entire physical operation, adhering to budgeted guidelines.
• Lead operational readiness and execution during peak trading periods, ensuring sufficient staffing, capacity planning and operational performance to meet customer expectations.
• Lead and manage supervisors and oversee work activities within the department.
• Supervise personnel to promote general order in and around the warehouse.
• Coach and provide technical guidance to colleagues.
• Foster collaboration within the Supervisor team to elevate both the team and the site to a higher level.
• Monitor and enhance communication and cooperation within the site and with other sites/departments.
• Contribute to the development and ensure the execution of the departmental plan.
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement methodology.

Profile:

• You have a higher vocational education (HBO) work/thinking level;
• Good knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook;
• Solid knowledge and proficiency in WMS (preferably PKMS)
• You have at least 5 years of successful leadership experience within fashion, lifestyle or e-commerce logistics, preferably in a large-scale dedicated customer environment.
• You have proven experience managing high-volume operations during peak periods such as Black Friday, Cyber Monday and holiday seasons while maintaining service levels and operational stability.
• You have an independent and flexible work attitude and are capable of making quick, creative, and effective decisions;
• With your pragmatic approach, you are able to come up with creative, integrated logistics solutions;
• You are driven, convincing, and capable of working independently;
• You are stress-resistant and able to adapt quickly;
• Good knowledge and proficiency in both Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
