Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Warehouse Business System Specialist to optimise our global warehouse processes. You will own system specs and lead tasks from planning through deployment, while driving continuous improvements across manufacturing and supply.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in Logistics or equivalent, 5+ years in pharma warehousing, and strong SAP/WMS experience. Fluent English and ability to influence change in an international matrix are essential.

• Lead business requirement gathering for warehouse system process blueprints and templates.
• Own defined warehouse system validation tasks and assessments.
• Drive warehouse system implementation tasks: test strategy, scripts, validation, migration.
• Develop and document warehouse system training content and documentation.
• Define, document and maintain warehousing system user roles and conduct audits.
• Maintain ties with Sites, Manufacturing, GSC and DTI for best results.
• Identify opportunities and assess impact of technologies and trends.
• Demonstrate continuous improvement to deliver savings and improvements.
• Drive results to finish line and support manufacturing and supply.
• Contribute to network collaboration and knowledge sharing.

What you will do

Our Global Supply Chain Excellence team optimizes our Supply Chain between our manufacturing sites across the world. As part of this team the Warehouse Business System Specialist will develop and own specific areas of the warehouse system business process and the warehouse system solutions. You will own warehouse system specifications, own and drive business tasks during planning, requirements gathering, design, build, test, migration, training and deployment of warehouse systems and lead warehouse system changes from initiation to deployment. To be successful in this global focused role, you will need technical expertise, influencing skills and the ability to drive change.

• Ensure uninterrupted production and supply, driven by Warehouse business systems.
• Lead business requirement gathering as input for the warehouse system business process blueprints and solution templates.
• Own defined warehouse system validation tasks, documents and assessments.
• Drive and govern warehouse system implementation tasks e.g., test strategy, scripts & sets, test execution, review and approval, configuration and migration.
• Own, develop and document warehouse system training content and documentation, AVs, LAs, and TRNQs.
• Define, document and maintain warehousing system user roles, approve user role assignments and perform periodic audits.
• Maintain strong ties with Sites, Manufacturing, GSC and DTI, collaborating to achieve best results for Amgen.
• Independently identify opportunities and assess impact of technologies, best practices, trends and events for Amgen’s business processes and systems.
• Showcase continuous improvement mindset to identify and deliver savings and improvements.
• Drive results to the finish line and strive for best-in-class warehousing supporting Manufacturing and Supply.
• Actively contribute to network collaboration, sharing and development.

• Bachelor’s degree preferably in Logistics or logistic knowledge by experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in preferably pharma warehousing/distribution environment.
• In-depth SAP and WMS design and implementation experience.
• Process mindset: cross-functional process understanding, insight and visualization.
• Distil, negotiate and communicate business requirements per strategic direction.
• Independent self-starter, able to work autonomously, under pressure and in teams.
• Motivated, persistent, eager to optimize, drive for excellence, continuously improve.

• Experience influencing change in international matrix environment.
