Job summary

The Cargo Control Company is seeking an executive VP Product to own the integrated portfolio for LoadLok, Roland, Wistra, and LoadCare across Europe. You will drive product roadmaps, align engineering with commercial goals, and sit on the EMEA Leadership Team with equal footing to Sales, Procurement, and Operations.

You will report to the CEO, own the P&L, lead buy/build decisions, and head a cross-functional team of product managers and engineers responsible for pricing, margins, and portfolio

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Cargo Control Company unites four market-leading brands—LoadLok, Roland, Wistra, and LoadCare—into an unmatched European platform. We are looking for an executive VP Product to own our integrated product portfolio end-to-end, lead product roadmaps, and sit on the EMEA Leadership Team on equal footing with Sales, Procurement, and Operations.

Unlike traditional roles, engineering reports directly to you. This means your product strategy directly commands design and technical resources, giving you true end-to-end control from P&L to production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• P&L Ownership: Own the integrated portfolio P&L, contribution margins, lifecycle choices, and make-or-buy outcomes.
• Portfolio Strategy & Rationalization: Set investment priorities, harmonize ranges across four brands, and drive a 15–20% reduction in active SKUs within 24 months.
• Make-or-Buy Decisions: Optimize sourcing between European manufacturing, our Far East facility, and vetted third‑party suppliers.
• Pricing & Governance: Establish market segment pricing frameworks and approve margin exceptions.
• Team Leadership: Lead and develop an 8‑person team comprising 3 Product Managers, 4 engineering specialists, and a Product Information & Pricing Manager.
• Cross‑Functional Orchestration: Act as the decision‑making interface between Product, Sales, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Engineering.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE (FIRST 18-24 MONTHS)

• Margin Growth: Annual margin improvement of 1–1.5% on the managed portfolio.
• Cost Reduction: A continuous cost‑reduction pipeline worth 1.5–2% of the product cost base annually.
• Visibility: Implementation of a monthly portfolio review and a full profitability matrix by product group.
• SKU Rationalization: A 15–20% reduction in active SKUs to eliminate complexity and boost efficiency.

ABOUT YOU

You are a builder, not a caretaker, comfortable owning a hard number rather than just influencing one. You thrive on structured tension, balancing the demands of Sales, Manufacturing, and Procurement through data and consensus. Equally comfortable debating standard costs with a CFO, structural analysis with an engineer, or commercial pricing with a key client, you can pivot across disciplines effortlessly.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Senior product management or portfolio leadership experience in an industrial/manufacturing business with P&L accountability.
• Track record of portfolio rationalisation, cost reduction, and pricing improvement with quantified results.
• Deep experience in make-or-buy strategies across European and Asian supply chains.
• Fluency with standard costing, transfer pricing, and product‑level profitability analysis.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, including technical/engineering specialists.
• Executive presence, operating comfortably at board and leadership levels.
• Fluent in English and German.
• Background in cargo control, commercial vehicles, trailers, or transport equipment.
• Experience integrating product portfolios post‑merger or multi‑brand consolidation.
