Job summary

Philips in the Netherlands seeks a Head of Engineering for Digital Pathology to guide the R&D organization across software, hardware, cloud, AI, and platform engineering. You will develop leaders, drive a high-performing culture, and translate strategy into roadmaps with clear decision rights and measurable outcomes.

You will build an engineering operating system with KPIs, governance, and risk management, enabling safe, scalable, and compliant products while advancing AI-enabled pathology

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive engineering leadership in regulated or mission-critical settings.
• Experience leading large, multidisciplinary engineering organisations across software, hardware, cloud, and AI.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures, SaaS, DevSecOps, and AI governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end Digital Pathology engineering org across software, hardware, cloud, AI, and platform engineering.
• Translate business strategy, product priorities, customer and clinical needs into executable roadmaps with measurable outcomes.
• Build an engineering operating system with KPIs, governance, quality systems, and risk management.
• Drive frequent, predictable delivery across software, hardware, cloud, AI, and integrated systems with focus on safety, privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance.
