Job summary

Mint Tower Capital is seeking a Volatility Trader to join its volatility team in Amsterdam. The role focuses on actively identifying and pursuing opportunities in the volatility universe, trading single-stock options around catalysts, and implementing RV/dispersion strategies.

We value deep knowledge of single-stock vol mechanics, strong Python-based analysis, and a track record of profitable PnL along with disciplined risk management. Collaboration and execution excellence are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on trading or market-making experience focusing on equity derivatives with a demonstrated PnL/execution track record.
• Deep familiarity with single-stock volatility surface mechanics and event-driven dispersion/trading.
• Strong quantitative skills with practical Python capabilities for surface slicing, data analysis, and backtesting.
• Collaborative, commercially accountable mindset with risk budgeting awareness.

Responsibilities

• Actively identify and pursue opportunities within the volatility universe.
• Position and trade single-stock options around catalysts (earnings, CMDs, corporate actions).
• Structuring and executing RV & dispersion strategies across single-name and index exposures.
• Manage risk, delta/gamma hedging, and multi-book optimization.
