Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a detail-oriented Retail Merchandising Assistant to support visual merchandising in Welkom. This hybrid role blends in-store activity with remote administrative tasks to create engaging displays and consistent branding.

You will work with the merchandising team and store management to plan, execute, and maintain product presentations that drive sales and brand consistency in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• Interest in visual merchandising, fashion, or retail design.
• Strong attention to detail and a good eye for aesthetics.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of retail environments and product presentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creation and implementation of captivating product displays and store layouts according to visual merchandising guidelines.
• Help maintain presentation standards of the sales floor, ensuring merchandise is attractively displayed and organized.
• Support the team in receiving, unpacking, and organizing new merchandise for display.
• Conduct regular store walk-throughs to identify opportunities for visual improvement and ensure consistency.
• Prepare and update signage and promotional materials to enhance product visibility.
• Collaborate with store staff to ensure effective execution of merchandising plans.
