Job summary

Xsens Technologies B.V. invites a hands-on Computer Vision Engineer to advance visual-inertial perception. Based in Enschede with hybrid work, you will build and deploy VIO/SLAM pipelines, fuse IMU data with monocular or stereo cameras, and collaborate across hardware, firmware, and software teams.

We value strong foundations in multi-view geometry, linear algebra, and state estimation, plus Python/C++. Experience with ROS/OpenCV and real-time optimization is a plus.

Qualifications

• MSc in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field with 3+ years of industry or research experience; or a PhD with hands-on system-building.
• Solid understanding of multi-view geometry and camera and lens models and physics.
• Hands-on experience with VO or SLAM systems, and familiarity with open source frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python / C++.
• Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, probability theory, and state estimation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement state-of-the-art VIO and SLAM pipelines, combining inertial sensor data with monocular or stereo camera inputs.
• Develop and maintain camera models, calibration routines, and sensor synchronization pipelines across multiple hardware configurations.
• Apply optimization techniques and filtering methods to achieve robust and accurate 6-DoF pose estimation.
• Stay current with the computer vision and research landscape and assess the feasibility of integrating new techniques into Xsens products.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and software teams to deliver end-to-end perception solutions.
