Job summary

Searchability is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to own real-time computer vision, perception, and navigation software on autonomous field robots in Utrecht. You will lead the embedded software stack, integrate cameras and sensors, and drive production readiness in a fast-growing robotics team.

The role demands deep hardware proximity, strong C++ skills, and a track record of shipping production software for real-world robotics with GPS-RTK and outdoor operation. 7+ years preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial C++ in real time or performance critical environments.
• Experience with computer vision, detection and classification.
• Experience working close to hardware, cameras and sensors.
• Production deployment of software on real hardware in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities

• Own the real-time computer vision pipeline, weed detection, classification and targeting.
• Own the navigation and perception software, GPS-RTK, path planning, row following.
• Integrate cameras, sensors and compute hardware into a reliable production system.
• Architect and maintain the embedded software stack on the robot.
• Take technical leadership as the engineering team scales.
• Contribute to the full product lifecycle from prototyping through field deployment.
• Debug and optimise software running on real machines in real outdoor conditions.
