Job summary

Salt is recruiting a Vendor Manager for a 6-month freelance engagement in Amsterdam. You will manage purchase orders, vendor spend, and contract repositories, while coordinating with Procurement and Finance to ensure alignment with policy.

You will develop dashboards, monitor renewals, and advise senior leaders on vendor performance and cost optimization. This role requires 5-8 years in vendor management and strong SAP/Oracle experience; remote work is not indicated.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years in vendor management, procurement, or contract administration.
• Hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle, Ivalua, or Conga.
• Strong Excel and data reporting skills.
• High attention to detail and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• PO & GR Management: Process and track Purchase Orders and Goods Receipts in line with finance policies.
• Budget & Invoice Tracking: Monitor vendor spend, invoices, budget utilization, and monthly accruals with FP&A.
• Contract Management: Maintain an accurate, centralized repository of contracts, SOWs, and amendments.
• Renewals: Track contract expirations and coordinate renewals 60-90 days in advance.
• Reporting & Dashboards: Develop dashboards covering vendor spend, PO utilization, invoices, renewals, and KPIs.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Partner with Procurement, Finance, Accounts Payable, vendors, and internal contract owners to resolve operational issues.
• Vendor Strategy & Performance: Advise senior leaders, including VP-level stakeholders, on vendor performance, contract optimization, cost efficiency, and procurement strategies.
• Compliance & Improvement: Ensure audit readiness, adherence to internal policies, and continuous process improvement.
