West Ottawa Middle Schools is seeking a Varsity Boys Dive Head Coach (Swim Assistant Coach) posting #4076. This position reports to the Athletic Director and begins in late November 2026.

Knowledge of diving coaching, CPR/AED and CAP Certified Concussion Protocol are required. The coach must be available after school and on Saturdays, attend athletic department meetings, manage rosters, uniforms and equipment, oversee safety, enforce code of conduct, motivate athletes academically, and

Qualifications

• Knowledge of diving coaching preferred.
• CPR/AED, CAP Certified Concussion Protocol.
• Must be available after school and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Attends athletic department meetings when scheduled.
• Submits an annual inventory of athletic uniforms and equipment used by the team.
• Maintains professional competency by attending clinics.
• Keeps Athletic Director informed of problems before, during, or after events.
• Encourages athletes to excel in academic work.
• Submits an End of the Season Checklist in a timely manner.
• Issues, cleans, stores, cares and returns all athletic equipment.
• Oversees safety conditions of practice areas.
• Enforces code of conduct and reports incidents to the Athletic Director.
• Establishes relationships with players, parents, and administrators.
