Job summary

Eurofins Scientific - Nederland in Boxmeer seeks an Associate Scientist to join the Bio Technology Solutions vaccine formulation team. You will perform DoE on vaccine composition and machine settings to optimize production of animal vaccines with inactivated antigens.

The role involves preparing adjuvant formulations, evaluating physical chemical properties, and transferring processes to Production and QC. Collaboration with project leaders and cross-functional teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Sciences, or Life Sciences.
• Basic understanding of cell biology, bacteriology and/or virology preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with the requirements and rules for setting up and operating a laboratory.
• Knowledge of and experience with GxP guidelines.
• Knowledge of and experience with MPS methods.
• Excellent Dutch and/or English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Availability for 5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and discussing assignments with Project Leader(s).
• Performing experiments based on guidelines and existing methods.
• Creating a test design in consultation with Project Leader(s).
• Carrying out tests and planning the work accordingly.
• Indicating deviations and proposing improvements to the design.
• Recording results in the lab journal and discussing with the project team.
• Writing memos, reports and protocols in English with low complexity.
• Working under GxP, assisting with pilot and consistency batches.
• Proposing new methods and techniques for the process.
• Involved in transferring production processes to Production and QC.
