Job summary

Eurofins Scientific in Boxmeer is seeking an Associate Scientist to join the Bio Technology Solutions (BTS) Vaccine formulation team. You will develop and transfer vaccine formulations and perform DoE on vaccine composition and machine settings for production of animal vaccines with inactivated antigens.

You will prepare adjuvant formulations, perform physical-chemical characterization using light scattering and DSC, and support transfer to production and QC.

Qualifications

• Master/Bachelor in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Life Sciences with knowledge of material properties.
• Basic understanding of cell biology, bacteriology and/or virology is preferred.
• Knowledge of GxP guidelines and MPS methods is required.

Responsibilities

• Execute experiments and designs from Project Leader(s) following guidelines.
• Create test designs and plan work with support as needed.
• Carry out standard tests and record results in lab journal.
• Investigate deviations and propose improvements to experimental design.
• Write memos/reports when needed, in English.
