Van Lanschot Kempen is seeking a motivated UX Design Engineer Intern to help shape and scale our design system. You will translate UX patterns into reusable, accessible components and work with designers and frontend teams on client-facing products.
You will collaborate on designing UI components in Figma, build design docs, and participate in usability testing while staying current with AI-driven design trends.
Create your own future
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic intern to join our Design & Research team as a User Experience (UX) Design Engineer. In this role, you help shape and scale our design system: turning UX patterns into reusable, accessible components that work for both designers and developers. You will work closely with designers, researchers and front-end teams on real client-facing products.
You also have the following tasks:
Creative, structured and technically curious. You enjoy switching between design and front-end and like to make things consistent, clear and reusable. You are result-oriented and have a hands-on mentality.
In addition:
Investing in a more future-oriented, sustainable, and data-driven way with various clients. Both nationally and internationally. With almost 300 years of experience, we make this ambition a reality at Van Lanschot Kempen. We do this with some 2,000 colleagues in various fields of expertise.
The Digital Innovation & Analytics (DIA) department is a start-up-like environment within Van Lanschot Kempen. This means a work environment that offers both the energetic and ambitious character of a start-up and a large company's solid benefits. Digital Innovation & Analytics was founded to help the organisation with its continuous digital and AI (Artificial Intelligence) transformation.
Within DIA, the Design & Research team delivers personal and valuable experiences to our users by providing guidelines for great UX/UI solutions for our digital products through user research, design, testing, workshops and UX audit.
An organisation's degree of innovation and agility also depends on the diversity of its workforce. Our differences make us stronger together. We promote an inclusive work environment where all colleagues feel at home. With us, you can be yourself. And we are proud of that.
That’s what we do. The fact is, if you add value, you can obviously expect the same from us in return. A good work-life balance with our 'hybrid way of working' (you work in the Amsterdam office two days a week) is a good example of this.
