Job summary

Gerritsen Logistics in Goirle is seeking an experienced CE truck driver to handle and transport machinery and heavy equipment across the Netherlands and Europe.

You will load, secure, and unload cargo, plan routes independently, comply with rest and safety rules, and communicate with customers and planning.

The role offers a modern fleet and opportunities for ADR and abnormal-load assignments, with several days away from home on international trips.

Qualifications

• CE driving license and Code 95 valid.
• ADR Basic certificate.
• Extensive experience as truck driver with abnormal-load transport.
• Experience loading, securing and transporting mobile and wheeled equipment.
• Able to plan routes independently and navigate the European road network.
• Willing to spend several days away from home for international trips.
• Dutch and/or English language skills; additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport machinery, mobile and wheeled equipment to destinations across NL and Europe.
• Carry out ADR transport and light abnormal-load transport when required.
• Load, secure and unload cargo safely and correctly.
• Plan routes independently considering cargo dimensions, weight, and regulations.
• Comply with driving and rest time regulations and safety requirements.
• Communicate with customers and the planning team as needed.
• Maintain truck and report defects promptly.
• Think ahead and find practical solutions when challenges arise.

Gerritsen Logistics specialises in industrial machinery relocations and the transport of mobile and wheeled equipment. We handle a variety of challenging transport assignments throughout the Netherlands and Europe, including ADR transport and occasional light abnormal-load transport.

We are looking for an experienced driver who takes pride in their work, works independently and enjoys getting behind the wheel for challenging transport assignments.

What will you do?

As a truck driver at Gerritsen Logistics, you will transport machinery, mobile and wheeled equipment, and other goods to destinations across the Netherlands and Europe. You are responsible for carrying out each assignment safely and professionally.

• You transport machinery, mobile and wheeled equipment, and other cargo nationally and internationally.
• You carry out ADR transport and light abnormal-load transport when required by the assignment.
• You are responsible for the proper loading, unloading and securing of your cargo.
• You plan your routes independently, taking into account cargo dimensions, weight, road conditions and applicable regulations.
• You comply with driving and rest time regulations and all relevant safety requirements.
• You communicate with customers and the planning team whenever necessary.
• You take good care of your truck and equipment and report any defects or issues in a timely manner.
• You think ahead, find practical solutions and remain resourceful when a transport assignment presents a challenge.

Who are you?

You are an experienced truck driver who understands what it takes to complete a transport assignment properly. You work independently, think ahead and take responsibility for your vehicle, cargo and safety on the road.

In addition:

• You hold a valid CE driving licence and Code 95 qualification.
• You hold a valid ADR Basic certificate.
• You have extensive experience as a truck driver and experience with abnormal-load transport.
• You have experience in safely loading, securing and transporting mobile and wheeled equipment.
• You can plan routes independently and find your way around the European road network.
• You are resourceful, solution-oriented, careful and safety-conscious.
• You are flexible and willing to spend several days away from home on international trips.
• You speak Dutch and/or English. Additional languages are an advantage.
