Job summary

eBay is hiring for a Treasury role to drive liquidity and cash management across EMEA and APAC from our Amsterdam hub. You will work with the Treasury team to manage daily cash, intercompany movements, and settlements while partnering with banks and cross-functional teams including Finance, Managed Payments, and M&A.

The role requires 3–5 years in treasury/finance, a finance degree, and strong English. Proficiency with Quantum and SAP S/4HANA, Power BI, Excel, and SQL is preferred.

About The Team And The Role

The Treasury International team supports eBay’s global marketplace by managing liquidity across EMEA and APAC to meet daily operating needs and enable longer-term growth. This role sits within eBay Treasury and works closely with regional subsidiaries, banks, and cross-functional partners including Finance, Managed Payments, and M&A teams. You will contribute to core cash management operations while building expertise in treasury processes within a global, purposeful organization that values learning, collaboration, and an inclusive work environment.

What You Will Accomplish

• Ensure daily liquidity throughout EMEA and APAC by running cash position and short-term cash flow forecasts for regional subsidiaries and the Treasury Center.
• Execute cash movements, including intercompany transfers, netting, funding requests, and short-term deposits, while partnering with banks to resolve issues efficiently.
• Support accurate and timely treasury settlements covering FX, money market instruments, and deposits.
• Provide clear visibility into cash, interest income, and counterparty risk through regular reporting and analysis.
• Support treasury activities related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and entity restructurings, including liquidity planning and (physical and virtual) bank account management.
• Strengthen cash management controls by coordinating audits, SOX compliance, and adherence to treasury policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal partners, including Managed Payments and corporate teams, on banking, liquidity, and system-related initiatives.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by helping document, streamline, and implement treasury processes and system enhancements.

What You Will Bring

• 3-5 years of experience in treasury, finance, banking, or accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. A master’s degree is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in English.
• Experience with treasury management systems, ideally Quantum, and familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, with the ability to utilise system functionality optimally to support cash management, liquidity reporting, treasury settlements, controls, and process governance.
• Expertise with reporting, analytics, automation, and digital productivity tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, and advanced Excel.
• Curiosity and willingness to adopt new technologies, automation solutions, and AI-enabled tools responsibly to improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance decision-making within treasury processes.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to interpret and explain financial data.
• Ability to prioritize and handle several tasks in a fast-paced, global environment across different time zones.
• Collaborative approach with strong social skills and comfort working with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
