Job summary

Booking.com is seeking a Treasury Accounting professional to own and govern the FX and hedging accounting framework across the group. You will lead daily hedge cycle reviews, ensure robust controls, and drive alignment with treasury, corporate accounting, and brand teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Strong accounting and financial close experience in a complex international organisation.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS applied to FX, derivatives, and treasury transactions.
• Experience reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close deliverables.
• Experience in a structured financial control environment with audit support.
• Ability to translate business requirements into accounting processes and controls.

Responsibilities

• Own and govern the accounting review framework for FX and hedging activities across the Booking.com group.
• Review daily hedge cycles outputs, investigate exceptions, and coordinate issue resolution.
• Maintain and improve accounting logic, controls, and documentation for treasury processes.
• Provide accounting ownership for complex hedging programmes across entities.
• Drive treasury initiatives from requirements to implementation and post-implementation review.
• Review treasury journal entries, reconciliations, and hedge outputs for accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee reconciliations and approval structures, including two approvers for FX exposures and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with Treasury, COE, Corporate Accounting, FP&A, and brand teams to resolve issues.
• Support audit responses related to treasury, FX, hedging, and controls.
• Maintain up-to-date process documentation and escalation paths.
• Support ad hoc treasury/accounting analyses and initiatives.
