Job summary

Edge Executives invites a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Unit in Middelburg, Mpumalanga. You will deliver evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced trauma environment and assess, monitor and manage emergency patients.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure infection control and patient safety, and maintain accurate records while optimising clinical resources. The role requires SANC registration, a postgrad in emergency nursing, BLS, and ideally ACLS, with

Qualifications

• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse.
• Postgraduate Diploma or Degree in Emergency Nursing (required for Shift Leaders).
• Compliance with the SANC Scope of Practice and relevant healthcare legislation.
• Minimum 1 year's post-qualification experience in an Emergency Unit.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification will be advantageous.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure emergency environment.
• Sound knowledge of emergency nursing practices, anatomy, pathophysiology and patient safety principles.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care within the Emergency Unit.
• Assess, monitor and manage emergency and trauma patients.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
• Promote quality clinical outcomes and positive patient experiences.
• Manage the effective utilisation of clinical resources.
