Job description

For our location in Heerlen, we are looking for a Transport Supervisor. In this role, you will have a coordinating and versatile position within our Heerlen site. You will work closely with both the customer and carriers. Your team is responsible for receiving, instructing, and processing all incoming and outgoing trucks.

As the primary point of contact for the customer regarding transport operations at this location, you will work together to establish operational agreements with transport providers. You will monitor and ensure that carriers comply with these agreements, including commitments related to lead times, quality standards, processes, and KPIs.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining strong customer and carrier relationships through activities such as performance reporting and periodic review calls with carriers and customers;
• Acting as the main point of contact and escalation point for carrier-related issues;
• Providing input for the monthly Business Review Meeting (MBR);
• Participating in customer projects focused on transport optimization initiatives;
• Organizing, coaching, and leading your team, including conducting performance and appraisal reviews;
• Driving continuous improvement within your team, department, and operational processes.

WHERE WILL YOU WORK?

You will be based at our Medical Campus in Heerlen, where you will become part of our Transport Department. Together with your team, you will ensure excellent service delivery to our customer and make a real difference. You will also work closely with various teams across the office and warehouse.

In this role, you will build and maintain a strong network of relationships both within and outside the organization. You will report directly to the Contract Manager.

We work in an informal and collaborative environment, with plenty of room for enjoyment, teamwork, and personal connection. Your working hours will vary between 07:30 and 18:00. In addition, you can expect ongoing coaching and on-the-job learning from your manager and colleagues to support your professional development.

• Experience in a supervisory and coordinating role;
• Ability to perform effectively under pressure;
• Strong skills in working with automated systems and Microsoft Office applications. Advanced Excel skills are considered a plus.

• A gross monthly salary between € 3.299 and € 4.462 plus 8% holiday pay (classification depending on, among other things, your work experience and level of education);
