Job summary

CEVA Logistics is hiring a Team Lead Operations in Bleiswijk to guide a sub-process in unloading/receiving, stowing/picking or packing/expedition. You will lead a team of 20–75 operators and 2–4 coordinators, driving development and performance with the Control Room for numbers, ratios, and planning.

You will report to the Operations Manager and work in a highly automated distribution center for Zalando, operating a 24/6 schedule across three shifts. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of leadership experience in a dynamic logistics setting.
• Full-time availability and ability to work across 3 shifts.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

YOUR ROLE

As a Team Lead Operations, you are the centre of our logistics operation in Bleiswijk.

In the role Team Lead Operations, you will successfully lead a sub-process on unloading/receiving, stowing/picking or packing/expedition.

Your team consists of approximately 20 to 75 operators, depending on the sub-process, and 2 to 4 Team Coordinators who are specialized in the process. You motivate and inspire your team to achieve goals and work constructively on the development of your people.

You scan the process, but also the people in the process, with a focus on individual and team development.This is possible because you have daily contact with your colleagues in the Control Room. This is the Control Tower of our warehouse, which advises you on numbers, ratios, and planning. In the role of Team Lead Operations, you report to the Operations Manager.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

In the role of Team Lead Operations you will:

• Managing, coaching, developing, and evaluating employees in your team;
• Leading the daily operation and responsible for achieving KPI’s and plans;
• Making the right decisions for an optimal overall process in collaboration with your colleagues and the Control Room;
• Optimizing the efficiency of people, resources, and machines;
• Making improvement proposals with regards to the logistics process;
• Conducting measurements, making reports and analyses;
• Conducting performance and appraisal interviews, absenteeism guidance;
• Ensuring a clean and safe working environment.

WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO WORK?

As a Team Lead Operations you will be working for CEVA Logistics in a highly mechanized fulfillment center for Europe's leading fashion platform, Zalando. Together with your team, you determine the success of one of the largest and most automated distribution centres in the Netherlands. Our 24/6 operation runs in 3 shifts, in the morning, afternoon and during the nights, we are closed on Saturday. You work the morning and the afternoon shifts every other week. Approximately you work on Sundays once every 3 weeks and the night shift once every 5 weeks.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• By nature, you are a people manager and you have previously managed a team in a similar work environment;
• You are ambitious, a go-getter, and able to handle stress;
• You have gained at least 3 years of work experience in a leading position in a dynamic work environment;
• You are inventive in your solutions and have a proactive work attitude;
• Full-time available and flexible in 3 shifts;
• Proficient in English, in writing and speaking.

• A gross monthly salary between € 2.946 and € 4.187 plus 8% holiday pay (classification depending on, among other things, your work experience and level of education);
