Job summary

CtrlChain is recruiting a Transport Planner in Eindhoven to coordinate freight flows, ensure capacity coverage and sustain high service levels. You will work with shippers, carriers, and internal teams to optimize daily operations and contribute to a sustainable logistics ecosystem.

You will focus on brokerage planning and collaborate with Commercial and Operations to support execution and margins. This role demands 3+ years in transport planning and strong TMS proficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in transport, asset, or brokerage planning.
• Experience with TMS or planning systems.
• Fluent in English and Dutch; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
• Analytical, structured, and detail-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily transport planning and brokerage coordination with shippers and carriers.
• Ensure capacity coverage and maintain high service levels.
• Monitor KPIs and costs, adjust plans as needed.
• Maintain planning data in TMS and related platforms.
• Collaborate with Carrier Relationships, Sales and Customer Success.
• Participate in planning meetings and communicate updates.
• Develop backup strategies for unavailable options.
• Support tool and process improvements in planning.

In this role, you will ensure efficient, cost-effective, and reliable transport planning by aligning demand with available capacity. You will work closely with shippers, carriers, and internal teams to keep operations running smoothly—while contributing to a more sustainablelogisticsindustry.

The role

As a Transport Planner, you play a key role in daily transport operations. Youare responsible forplanning and coordinating freight flows, ensuring capacity coverage, andmaintaininghigh service levels.

Youwill focus on either Brokerage Planning (working with third-party carriers).You collaborate closely with Carrier Relationships, Sales, and Customer Success to support operational execution and commercialobjectives.

Whatyou’lldo

• Provide exceptional support to shippers and carriers as the primary contact for CtrlChain.
• Perform daily brokerage planning to meet customer and lane specifications.
• Continuously monitor performance and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain accurate planning and resource data in TMS or relevant platforms.
• Coordinate with commercial and operational teams for peak coverage.
• Participate in planning meetings to align daily priorities and provide status updates on planning, exceptions, and delays.
• Develop backup strategies when primary options are unavailable.
• Monitor fulfillment, KPIs, and associated costs and services.
• Escalate planning issues or service interruptions as needed.
• Contribute to enhancing planning tools, systems, and processes, while evaluating cost implications for margin-sensitive decisions.

You are a hands-onlogisticsprofessional who enjoys operational coordination, problem-solving, and working in a dynamic environment.

You will thrive in this role if you:

• Have at least 3 years of experience in transport, asset, or brokerage planning.

• Understand European freight and transport networks.

• Have experience workingwith TMS or transport planning systems.

• Are analytical, structured, anddetail-oriented.

• Communicate confidently in English and Dutch; German, French, and Spanish are a plus.

• Commercially minded andcustomer-focused.

• Can adapt quickly to changing priorities and time-sensitive situations.
