Job summary

Danone Zoetermeer is seeking a Transport Intern within the Global Distribution & Logistics hub to support daily transport operations and learn how centralized warehouse and transportation are managed across ROW. You will work in a cross-functional team and gain hands-on experience in planning and execution.

The internship is 6 months, hybrid in Zoetermeer, starting December 2026, full-time, with Excel and Power BI use, and opportunities for professional development, exposure to Air/Ocean

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a Bachelor/Master's student for the entire duration of the internship.
• Resident of the Netherlands with a valid BSN number; non-EU citizens must have a valid Dutch residency permit.
• For non-EU citizens, university must sign a three-party agreement with Danone.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support daily ROW (Rest Of World) transport operations.
• Assist in organizing, planning, and scheduling Air Freight and Ocean Freight.
• Support and drive improvement in Carrier Performance.
• Work with a Transport Management System (TMS) for outbound and inbound shipments.
• Create and follow up Purchase Orders and assist in invoicing checks for carriers.
• Create and follow up ASN messages (Advanced Shipping Notification).
• Contribute to operational reporting and data accuracy.
• Update Internship Work Instructions when necessary.

About the internship:

You will be working in the international and intercultural logistics team of Danone’s Nutricia Global Distribution & Logistics department, in particular the Supply Chain team consisting of 6 people who are responsible for centralized warehouse and related transportation. Nutricia Global Distribution & Logistics department is a Danone subsidiary responsible for the management of the logistical activities of Finished Goods (FG) from all Nutricia Supply Points and 3rd Parties to all Nutricia Medical Country Business Units, via our centralized warehouse located in the Netherlands.

You will mainly be learning about / working on

• Supporting daily ROW (Rest Of World) transport operations

About you

We are looking for Bachelor/Master students in Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Industrial Engineering or related fields. You are highly motivated and proactive. You have strong communication skills and like being in touch with multiple stakeholders, internally and externally. You are a self-starter, curious, and you are not afraid to share your opinion or ask questions when needed. You have proficient knowledge of Excel and Power BI that can be used for efficient data analysis, and analytical skills to transform data into useful insights. Also, you are eager to learn and thrive in a dynamic environment that continuously challenges you.
