Job summary

IMC Trading in Amsterdam offers a summer internship programme that immerses you in the proprietary trading world. As a Trader Intern, you will explore trading strategies, work on relevant projects, and compete in simulated trading sessions while receiving guidance from internship trainers and mentors.

You will join a collaborative office culture with access to traders, researchers, analysts and engineers. A comprehensive compensation package, fully-furnished accommodation, and catered meals

Qualifications

• Penultimate year in mathematics, physics, econometrics, or related quantitative field, graduating in 2028.
• Experience in a programming language is a plus (e.g. Python, Matlab, or R).
• You thrive in a collaborative, creative environment that recognises and rewards innovation.
• You want to make an impact on meaningful, challenging projects.
• Outstanding analytical skills and genuine interest in financial markets.
• Must be able to start the internship on June 28, 2027.

Responsibilities

• Generate new trading strategies
• Iterate current trading strategies
• Work on tooling, functionality, and/or visibility for specific use cases
• Shadow different trading desks and participate in competitive simulated trading sessions
• Attend workshops, presentations, trainings, and social activities with the internship cohort
