Job summary

A maritime recruitment company is seeking an experienced Third Engineer with at least one year of experience on water injection dredgers. Qualifications

• Maintains contact with the Chief Officer regarding all relevant activities during the watch.

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Thrid Engineer who has sailed several times on a water injection dredger or similar vessels. Project locations will be in Europe and occasionally in other areas.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and motivate the technical crew of his watch;
• Maintain the ship technical administration;
• Maintain the efficiency of the planned maintenance system and the maintenance and repair of the main and auxiliary equipment in cooperation with the Chief Engineer or Second Engineer;
• Maintain an efficient spare part stock in cooperation with the Chief Engineer or Second Engineer;
• Maintain the safety and environmental regulations on board, as well as the maintenance of the safety equipment;
• Comply with national and international maritime law and regulations;
• Maintains contact with the Chief Officer regarding all relevant activities during the watch.

Qualifications

• Experience of at least one year on water injection dredgers.
• Certificate of Competency (preferably Dutch).
• In possession of all required STCW certificates.
• Able to work on EU waters. (for most projects).
