Job summary

Vertiv is looking for a Field Service Engineer – Thermal to join our Benelux team in the Netherlands. You will perform start-ups, maintenance, and emergency repairs on cooling and environmental systems at customer sites across the Netherlands.

You will be the face of Vertiv in the field, ensuring mission-critical systems run safely and efficiently. This role requires problem-solving, independence, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or related discipline (City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent).
• Experience servicing environmental, HVAC, or cooling systems.
• A valid driving license and willingness to travel across the Netherlands (and occasionally abroad).
• Computer literacy and clear English language communication skills.
• Strong focus on customer service, safety, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer service calls, perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs, and manage start-ups for Vertiv’s thermal and environmental systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures, maintain accurate records of work, and keep customers informed at every stage.
• Identify service opportunities, support continuous improvement, and contribute to reliability and performance of systems.
• Collaborate with technical teams and Call Control center, plan and manage service activities, represent Vertiv professionally.
