Job summary

Pulitzer Amsterdam is seeking an inspiring Beauty House Manager to lead The Beauty House by Pulitzer Amsterdam, blending luxury hospitality with beauty and wellness excellence.

You will oversee a team of beauty specialists, drive guest satisfaction, and grow revenue through retail and treatments while maintaining the highest service standards on the treatment floor and collaborating with other hotel departments.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience within a beauty salon, wellness centre, or spa environment.
• Experience in a luxury five-star hospitality environment is highly desirable.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; Dutch is considered an advantage.

We are looking for an inspiring and commercially driven Beauty House Manager to lead our talented team of beauty specialists and elevate our guest experience to the next level.

About the Role

As Beauty House Manager , you are responsible for the overall success of The Beauty House by Pulitzer Amsterdam. You lead by example, combining strong operational leadership with a hands‑on presence on the treatment floor.

You are passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, developing your team, and driving commercial performance. By maintaining the highest service standards and continuously seeking opportunities to improve the business, you ensure that every guest enjoys a memorable and luxurious Pulitzer experience.

Reporting to the Director of Rooms , you will oversee all day‑to‑day operations while fostering a positive and high‑performing team culture.

What You Will Do

• Actively participate in the operation and remain visible on the treatment floor.
• Drive revenue growth through effective retail sales, treatment bookings, and promotions.
• Monitor business performance and identify opportunities to improve results.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge of beauty and wellness trends, products, and treatments.
• Ensure efficient scheduling, staffing, and operational planning.
• Manage inventory levels and product ordering.
• Build a positive, motivated, and engaged team culture.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and operational standards.
• Collaborate closely with other hotel departments to create seamless guest experiences.

What We Are Looking For

• Previous leadership experience within a beauty salon, wellness centre, or spa environment.
• Experience in a luxury five-star hospitality environment is highly desirable.
• HBO level education or equivalent professional experience, preferably within beauty, wellness, hospitality, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of current beauty and wellness industry trends, services, and products.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to drive sales performance and business growth.
• Experience with reservation systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English; Dutch is considered an advantage.
• Self‑motivated, proactive, and capable of independently setting priorities.
• Flexible and available to work weekends and public holidays when required.
• Willingness to support other hotel departments when business needs demand it.
