Job summary

Nederlandse Loterij is seeking an experienced Test Engineer to ensure quality in the Subscriptions and Payments domain within a modern microservices architecture. You’ll design manual and automated tests, expand CI/CD test automation, and collaborate in an international agile team to improve our systems.

You’ll test backend processes and APIs, have strong experience with REST/JSON, and contribute to data-driven decision making while maintaining and enhancing regression suites and delivery

Qualifications

• At least 9 years of experience as a software tester with focus on API/back-end testing.
• Proficient in REST API testing (JSON).
• Experience with test frameworks (ReadyAPI, Selenium).
• Experience with CI/CD test automation (Jenkins or similar).
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL).
• Experience with version control (GitLab).
• Strong knowledge of software testing lifecycle (SQA) and automation.
• Excellent command of English (spoken and written).
• Experience with batch processes, asynchronous flows, and/or payment/subscription domains.
• Experience with microservices architecture.

Job description

As a Test Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring the quality of the Subscriptions andPayments domain. You will test complex backend processes and API integrations withina modern microservices architecture. You don’t just test what already exists, you helpbuild something better. You dive into logs and data, and actively contribute ideas forimproving our applications.

Working on great, strategic projects such as iGaming, the New Year’s Eve draw or insourcing a development team. Here’s where it happens!

Your experience:

• At least 9 years of experience as a software tester, with significant focus on API and backend testing
• Experience with (REST) API testing (JSON)
• Experience with test frameworks (preferably ReadyAPI, Selenium)
• Experience with test automation in a CI/CD environment (Jenkins or similar)
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL or similar)
• Experience with version control (GitLab or similar)
• Strong knowledge of the software testing lifecycle (SQA), test design and automation
• Excellent command of English—both spoken and written
• Experience with batch processes, asynchronous flows, and/or payment or subscription domains
• Experience with microservices architecture.

Your score

In your capacity as Test Engineer we offer you:

• a salary between €4.400,- and €6.000,- gross per month, depending on your experience
• a position for 32 - 40 hours per week
• you can enjoy a healthy and varied lunch in our corporate restaurant for €3,25
  
  Our office in Rijswijk is effectively where you do your work, but you mainly work in a place that best suits what you do. See below for other terms and conditions of employment.

Travel allowance

The costs you incur to come to the office are fully reimbursed.

Holiday entitlement
