Job summary

ITProposal in Leeuwarden, Netherlands, seeks a Senior Test Analyst to join a DevOps team in a data-rich IT environment. You will ensure the quality, stability and reliability of complex software while collaborating with developers and other technical disciplines.

Responsibilities include defining testing strategies, designing and maintaining automated tests with Cypress, Cucumber and JUnit, and performing risk analyses in an Agile/DevOps setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional IT testing experience (HBO level).
• Experience in Dutch-language professional environments.
• Experience with automated testing of service-oriented systems.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevOps environments.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks/tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform impact and risk analyses and contribute to Product Risk Analysis (PRA).
• Define and implement testing strategies with the DevOps team.
• Design, maintain and improve automated tests using Cypress, Cucumber and JUnit.
• Perform chain testing with external/internal partners.
• Apply testing techniques: functional, regression, performance, stress, system, chain, acceptance.
• Analyse logs and investigate production issues as part of an OPS team.
• Write and execute SQL queries.
• Work with APIs, services and asynchronous messaging.
• Collaborate with developers to optimize test coverage.
• Support colleagues with testing and automation.
• Contribute to a T-shaped cross-disciplinary way of working.
• Help establish and improve test automation within the team.

Senior Test Analyst - DevOps | Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced Senior Test Analyst to join a DevOps team within an IT & Data environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, stability and reliability of complex software applications while working closely with developers and other technical disciplines.

Role

• Perform impact and risk analyses and contribute to Product Risk Analysis (PRA)
• Define and implement testing strategies together with the DevOps team
• Design, maintain and improve automated tests using Cypress, Cucumber and JUnit
• Perform chain testing with external/internal partners
• Apply different testing techniques, including functional, regression, performance, stress, system, chain and acceptance testing
• Analyse application logs and investigate production issues as part of an OPS team
• Write and execute SQL queries
• Work with service-oriented systems, APIs and asynchronous messaging
• Collaborate closely with developers to prevent duplicate testing and improve overall test coverage
• Support colleagues with testing and test automation
• Contribute to a T-shaped way of working by developing knowledge across disciplines
• Help establish and continuously improve test automation within the team

Required Experience & Skills

• TMap NEXT Foundation certification
• TMap NEXT Advanced / ISTQB Advanced or equivalent advanced testing certification
• Minimum 5 years' professional experience working at HBO level in IT
• Minimum 5 years' experience with Dutch-language professional environments
• Minimum 4 years' experience with automated testing of service-oriented systems
• Minimum 4 years' experience working in Agile/Scrum and DevOps environments
• Minimum 4 years' experience with automated testing frameworks/tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proactive and curious mindset

Technical Environment

Experience with the following is highly relevant:
