Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific in Eindhoven is seeking a Test Engineer to own testing and alignment of advanced Transmission Electron Microscopes (TEM) within a controlled cleanroom environment. You will assemble systems, integrate TEM modules, and perform calibration and performance verification to meet strict quality standards before shipment.

Qualifications

• Vocational (MBO-4) or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related fields.
• Experience with testing electrotechnical systems (modules, cables, control cabinets) and hands-on approach with computers.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and configure TEM systems by integrating modules into cabinets, then align, calibrate and verify performance.
• Identify and resolve issues; document results and collaborate with production and engineering teams.
• Work in a cleanroom and handle samples, liquids like liquid nitrogen, and generate high‑resolution images at atomic level.
