Job summary

Jobgether SRL is representing a partner company in the Netherlands seeking a Java Tech Lead / Solution Architect for a remote telecommunications project. The role balances hands-on Java/Spring Boot development with architectural leadership, guiding a three-person team and engaging with international stakeholders.

You will define MVP architecture, design microservices and integration patterns, and ensure secure, scalable delivery in a cloud-based environment using AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of commercial Java development experience.
• 2+ years in a Tech Lead, Solution Architect, or comparable role.
• Strong hands-on Java/Spring Boot backend experience.
• 3–4 years React/TypeScript frontend guidance and architecture input.
• Experience designing microservices with DDD and event-driven patterns.
• Familiarity with TM Forum Open APIs and telecom integrations.
• Security: OAuth2, OIDC, Spring Security, RBAC.
• Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, Kubernetes in production environments.
• Excellent English communication with international stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain technical architecture for the customer portal and integration platform in BSS/OSS domain.
• Lead technical discovery, assess requirements, and set MVP implementation strategy.
• Design scalable systems with REST APIs, domain models, and integration flows.
• Contribute hands-on Java/Spring Boot code while balancing architecture and delivery (roughly 50/50).
• Mentor a small team of full-stack developers through planning, implementation, and delivery.
• Establish engineering standards, code reviews, and quality gates for secure software.
• Shape frontend architecture in React/TypeScript and review frontend code as needed.
• Design enterprise integrations, reliable patterns (idempotency, retries, async processing).
• Drive security architecture across auth, authorization, and RBAC using modern standards.
• Collaborate with DevOps on AWS, CI/CD, contract testing, and deployment practices.
• Document architectural decisions with ADRs and C4 diagrams; communicate with UK-based teams.
• Explore AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity.
