Job summary

Conscious Hotels in Amsterdam is seeking a Head of Technical Services to oversee the technical operations across five Conscious Hotels. You will coach the Technical Services teams, coordinate maintenance contracts, and drive safety, quality, and energy efficiency initiatives.

You report to the Head of Operations Conscious Hotels and work with Hotel Managers, external partners, and suppliers. Availability 32–40 hours per week and preferably based in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical services, building maintenance, or facilities engineering.
• Coaching technical staff and coordinating across multiple sites.
• Strong focus on preventive maintenance, safety and energy management.
• Ability to work with external contractors and hotel management.

Responsibilities

• Coach and support Technical Services across five Conscious Hotels.
• Step in for complex technical issues and assist diagnosis and resolution.
• Advise Hotel Managers on maintenance, installations, repairs, and improvements.
• Manage central maintenance contracts and relationships with external partners.
• Ensure preventive maintenance is performed on time and to standards.
• Monitor quality and execution of work by external contractors.
• Coordinate smaller projects with a significant technical component across hotels.
• Support fire safety and legionella management; ensure safe guest environments.
• Collaborate with Hotel Managers to plan painting and maintenance work.
• Identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption using data analysis.
• Look for recurring issues and drive maintenance improvements across all locations.
