Job summary

Jaz in the City Amsterdam is seeking a Technical Manager to lead the backstage engineering and ensure smooth operation across maintenance, installations, and projects. You’ll coach a technical crew, plan preventive and corrective work, manage safety and sustainability, and push improvements behind the scenes to keep hospitality running at the highest level.

• Experience leading and coaching a technical team.

• Fluent in Dutch and English; able to work with partners.

“Jaz in the City is looking for an enthusiastic Technical Manager!”

As our Technical Manager, you make sure everything keeps running smoothly. From preventive and corrective maintenance to installations, inspections, renovations and technical projects – you keep your finger on the pulse.

You lead, coach and inspire your team and make sure everyone knows what needs to be done, when it needs to happen and how we can do it even better.

You don't just keep the hotel running – you help us move forward.

And You

• have a technical background and at least 5 years of experience in a technical or maintenance department, preferably in a hotel or comparable environment;
• have experience in leading and coaching a technical team;
• know your way around technical installations, maintenance and building management;
• have experience with complex climate installations – that's a big plus;
• are organized, hands-on and know how to set the right priorities;
• have a service-minded attitude and understand that great hospitality starts behind the scenes;
• speak Dutch and English;
• are comfortable working with internal departments, suppliers, contractors and external partners;
• are available fulltime, with 4 days a week being negotiable.
