EPAM Systems, Inc. in Amsterdam is seeking a Technical Lead – AWS Migration & Modernization to own end-to-end migrations, define readiness standards and drive cutovers in a hybrid setup.

You’ll architect with Terraform/CDK, automate pre-flight checks, and enforce the AWS Well-Architected Framework across security, networking and cost optimization. You’ll lead cross-functional teams through waves, backlogs and live cutovers.

Qualifications

• Proven migrations using AWS MGn, DMS, and discovery tools.
• Fluent with Terraform or CDK/CloudFormation; scripting in Python or Bash.
• Experience implementing the AWS Well-Architected Framework across security, networking, and cost.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, wave planning, and cutover oflegacy environments to AWS.
• Write production-grade automation scripts for pre-flight checks and cutover tasks.
• Enforce security guardrails (SCPs, IAM, KMS) and oversee safe rollback mechanisms.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage live cutovers without disruption.

Job description

Drive the future of cloud transformation as a hands-on leader in AWS migration and modernization. This is the Technical Lead – AWS Migration & Modernization role at EPAM in the Netherlands, offered in a hybrid working mode. You’ll architect and execute complex migrations, automate infrastructure and set the technical bar for AWS readiness.
