Job summary

Qplox engineering seeks a senior technical expert to shape the next generation of AI-native data infrastructure for multimodal AI and autonomous agents. You will work at the intersection of distributed systems, databases, HPC, multimodal AI, and cloud infrastructure to design scalable systems handling massive heterogeneous data across CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs.

We are looking for a senior technical expert to help shape the next generation of AI-native data infrastructure for multimodal AI and autonomous agents.

This role sits at the intersection of distributed systems, databases, high-performance computing, multimodal AI, and cloud infrastructure. You will help design and develop scalable systems capable of efficiently processing, storing, retrieving, and managing massive volumes of heterogeneous data across CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs.

What you will do

• Define architecture and technical direction for next-generation multimodal data platforms.
• Develop high-performance data processing, query, storage, vector retrieval, and indexing systems.
• Design intelligent scheduling, resource pooling, and distributed caching across heterogeneous compute environments.
• Explore AI4DB, LLMs, and AI Agents to bring greater automation and intelligence to data platforms.
• Prototype emerging technologies and translate research and innovation into practical systems.
• Collaborate with international engineering and research teams to drive new technology directions.

What we are looking for

• Strong experience in database systems, distributed systems, big data, cloud infrastructure, HPC, or storage systems, combined with excellent programming skills in C/C++, Python, Java, or similar languages.
• Experience with query engines, storage engines, vector databases, heterogeneous compute, multimodal AI, LLMs, AI agents, or AI4DB is highly valued.
• Someone who can combine deep systems expertise with a forward-looking AI mindset and help define how data infrastructure evolves for the next generation of intelligent applications.
