Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking a senior-level architect to define and deliver a next-generation multimodal data platform for massive volumes of structured and unstructured data. You will own architecture and implement foundational services that schedule, process, query, store, and govern multimodal workloads at scale.

You will allocate resources across CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs and develop intelligent agents to automate engineering, analytics, operations, and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Advanced programming in C/C++, Python, or Java.
• Extensive experience in databases, distributed platforms, or HPC.
• Strong knowledge of system design, architecture, and performance.
• Understanding of CPU/GPU/NPU architectures and mixed-resource compute.
• Hands-on experience with resource scheduling and orchestration.
• Background in building or operating cloud platforms.
• Expertise in LLM Fine-tuning, NLP, CV, or multimodal AI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build an abstraction layer to coordinate CPU, GPU, and NPU resources.
• Design serverless mechanisms for sharing compute across engines.
• Enhance scheduling, throughput, elasticity, and hardware efficiency.
• Develop infrastructure for multimodal data processing (text, images, video, time-series, geospatial).
• Create optimization techniques for multimodal queries.
• Implement hybrid execution models for diverse data types.
• Establish vector indexing, search, and metadata management.
• Integrate open-source components and technologies.
• Improve data placement, indexing, lifecycle management, and index maintenance.
• Create high-speed caching to bring data close to processing.
• Reduce latency and remove performance constraints in heavy workloads.
• Apply AI methods and LLM agents to automate data platforms.
• Develop agents and reusable capabilities for workloads and storage.
• Translate AI/Data research into robust production systems.
