Job summary

Simwave in Barendrecht seeks a Technical Instructor to train maritime professionals with engine room, cargo, alternative fuels, electrical and technical systems expertise. You will operate connected bridge and engine room simulators and develop challenging scenarios.

Qualified Marine Engineer or Electro Technical Officer with English fluency is preferred; cruise experience is an asset and IGF certification is advantageous.

At Simwave in Barendrecht, you step into a maritime training environment with more than 60 connected bridge and engine room simulators. As Technical Instructor, you use your experience at 2nd Engineer level or higher to train and assess maritime professionals from around the world.

You deliver courses across engine room, cargo, alternative fuels, electrical and technical systems. But you do more than teach. You operate the simulators, develop training scenarios, keep course content sharp and help improve how technical training is delivered.
